Louise Houle

2002 to 2019

A lawyer with extensive experience in family trusts, offshore trusts, and numerous foundations and charitable organizations, she is the Secretary of the Foundation.

Louise Houle was called to the Bar of the Province of Quebec in 1982 and joined the law firm of Heenan Blaikie in 1983. Before completing her Bar, Ms. Houle obtained a Master of Laws degree at McGill University specializing in the area of taxation. She is currently the partner responsible for Heenan Blaikie’s Estates, Trusts and Charities Department. Ms. Houle is very active in philanthropy, working for a wide variety of foundations. In addition to being a member and Secretary of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, she is Secretary of the Cree Foundation, Secretary of the Cree Cultural Centre, Trustee and Secretary of the Study School Foundation, member and Secretary of the Guido Molinari Foundation and Secretary of the Louise Edwards Foundation.
