The Canadian Public Health Association’s 2017 Public Health Conference took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 6 – 8 June. Anna Dion, 2016 scholar, gave a presentation entitled “Perinatal and postpartum health outcomes and care experiences of marginalized women in Canada.” She was also interviewed on Radio-Canada’s Format Libre, where she shared some of her research findings.

Anna Dion (family medicine, McGill University) is seeking to improve the quality and access to maternity care for marginalized women in Canada, especially immigrant and refugee women, and at-risk adolescents.

2016 Scholars
