Fields of Interest

Jarita Greyeyes is nēhiyaw of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and the Red Pheasant Cree Nation, both located in Treaty Six territory. She is a doctoral student in Race, Inequality and Language in Education at Stanford University. At the University of Winnipeg, she was the first Director of Community Learning and Engagement and the former Acting Associate Vice-President of Indigenous Affairs.

Jarita mentors at the Stanford Native American Cultural Center and is a member of the Winnipeg Art Gallery's Indigenous Circle.  She received a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellowship and the University of Winnipeg's Weweni Future Scholar Award.
