Ms. Champoux-Paillé is an economist and holds a Master of Business Administration as well as a master’s degree in museology with distinction, in addition to a certification in corporate governance. She has worked in the financial services and professional services sectors for over thirty years, where she held various strategic leadership roles, notably as President of the Quebec Financial Services Bureau, the predecessor of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
Ms. Louise Champoux-Paillé is currently Co-Director of the Lorenzetti Centre at Concordia University, which focuses on the development of women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. She presently serves on the following boards of directors and committees: CHU Sainte-Justine Mother and Child University Hospital (as Chair); Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec; Canada Post Corporation; and Chambre des notaires.
Actively engaged in identifying emerging trends in governance and diversity, she has, for nearly fifteen years, contributed daily to various governance-focused platforms on social media, collaborated with professional magazines, and served as a speaker and trainer on governance, ESG factors, and corporate social responsibility. She also offers unique expertise in mentoring and coaching, having contributed to the development of more than 500 managers and executives across organizations.
Ms. Champoux-Paillé is a Member of the Order of Canada and a Knight of the National Order of Quebec. She is the recipient of the Quebec Interprofessional Council Medal, awarded for outstanding professional achievement in Quebec, the Quebec Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Exceptional Merit, and the Quebec National Assembly Medal for her commitment to governance and to the advancement of women in senior leadership roles. She is also a member of the Université du Québec Circle of Excellence and a recipient of the Governor General of Canada’s Award for her commitment to women’s leadership. She has been named one of the eight most influential women in governance in Quebec.
Ms. Champoux-Paillé was recognized as a Distinguished Director (ASC Fellow) in 2023.
