Grégoire Webber is Professor of Law and Philosophy at Queen’s University, Executive Director of the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, and legal agent of the Department of Justice (Canada). Previously, he was senior policy advisor with the Privy Council Office, Legal Affairs Advisor to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, and law clerk to Justice Binnie of the Supreme Court of Canada. From 2014-2024, he held the Canada Research Chair in Public Law and Philosophy of Law.
Grégoire holds degrees in civil law and common law from McGill University and a doctorate in law from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Trudeau Scholar. For his role in jointly founding the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, he was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal by the Governor General of Canada for improving access to justice.
