2027 Applications

Applications for the 2027 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship are open to doctoral students who are in the first or second year of their PhD program at the time of application.

A Two-Step Application Process

Applicants to the 2027 Scholarship must first complete an eligibility screening form by October 2, 2026.

Once their eligibility is confirmed, they will be able to access the full application form and continue with the 2027 Scholarship application process.

Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be reviewed. We therefore recommend carefully reviewing the eligibility requirements before submitting your application.

Mandatory information sessions

October 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. ET

Deadline for receipt of all three references

November 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. ET

Deadline to submit the complete application
