Fields of Interest

Vincent Pouliot is a James McGill Professor in the Department of Political Science at McGill University. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on global governance, in particular the role and functioning of international organizations, multilateralism, diplomacy and new forms of global public action. His most recent book, International Pecking Orders: The Politics and Practice of Multilateral Diplomacy (Cambridge University Press, 2016), earned the Hedley Bull Prize, as well as second prize in the Chadwick Alger Prize competition. Vincent Pouliot is also a Member of the College of the Royal Society of Canada. He has published six books, nearly 30 scientific papers, and 20 or so chapters in collective works.
