Julien O. Beaulieu is a doctoral researcher in environmental policy research at Imperial College London (United Kingdom). His research, which combines methods from economics, law and environmental science, focuses on corporate liability in relation to climate change, including lawsuits for greenwashing and loss and damages linked to climate change, as well as public policies aimed at compensating the victims of climate change.

Julien holds a bachelor's degree in law and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) as well as a master's degree in economics from the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam (Netherlands). A lawyer since 2018, Julien is also a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke, where he teaches competition law and corporate social responsibility law.

Julien has conducted several research projects on the regulation of environmental claims over the past years, having completed three research reports on greenwashing with the Quebec Environmental Law Center. Before moving into the world of research, Julien worked for two years as a competition and foreign investment lawyer and for one year as an economist at the Department of Finance of Canada.
