Precious partners in line with our values

Making a difference.

That is what the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation strives toward every day, by fostering the development of our Scholars who use their knowledge and skills as engaged leaders to help make a difference in their communities, and in the world.

The Foundation is proud to build strong and meaningful relationships with organizations that share our common goals of greater inclusion, diversity, innovation and sustainability.

Between September 2018 and March 2019, the Foundation heard from more than 400 participants who shared their valuable ideas and insights through words and artistic creativity during the Future Forums. This pan-Canadian listening and learning tour was guided by two central themes: Inclusive Excellence and Engaged Leadership. These themes resonated with Hector Mujica, Lead for Canada at Google.org:

“At Google.org, we aim to support organizations whose commitment is to create more opportunity for everyone. The work of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is doing just that by supporting research, dialogue and collaboration that help lead to a more prosperous Canada. We are proud to support the visionary work of this organization.”

For Christiane Germain, President of Groupe Germain Hôtels – which is ranked among the 50 best managed companies in Canada – shared values are important.

"We proudly offered our support to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation because their values echo those that have guided our company since its beginnings: bold innovation, respect for the environment and support for communities.”

Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada, also expressed enthusiasm in supporting an organization that aligns with their values of community engagement and promoting education from elementary school to higher learning.“What could be more important than encouraging the young people who will take over from us to reflect on and discuss fundamental matters such as human rights and responsible citizenship?”

As we look toward the future, sponsorships will play an important role in ensuring the Foundation can continue to hold meaningful events such as the Future Forums and the Institutes of Engaged Leadership. Support from sponsors also helps the Foundation remain active and effective in its effort to remain engaged with its community and the public. Later this year we will unveil a new website which will serve as our key meeting place for Scholars, Mentors, Fellows, and all those who share an interest in the Foundation’s mission.

Our sponsorship program ensures the integrity of the Foundation, transparency and the compatibility between sponsors’ values and those of the Foundation. It is important to underline that sponsorships have no impact or influence on the direction of our programs or other operations at the Foundation. When choosing potential partners, we consider factors such as the compatibility of our values and sponsors’ CSR footprint.
