Fields of Interest

Randall Harp does research in the philosophy of action, the philosophy of behavioral and social science, in ethics, and in social metaphysics.  He is interested in what it means to be an agent, and in how our agency changes in collective and social contexts.  He is also interested in how the behavioral and social sciences model actions and agents.  He has particular research interests in the ethical implications of how information about us and our networks can be used to predict and influence our behavior.

Randall believes strongly in the power of collaborative and interdisciplinary intellectual work, and in the value of public engagement and communication.
