Kody Doxtater is Mohawk from Six Nations of the Grand River Indian Reserve. He is a former volunteer fire fighter and an AEMCA certified Primary Care Paramedic. He has completed year one of Onkwawen:na Kentsyohkwa, earned his Bachelor of Arts from Western University, comprised of an Honours Specialization in First Nations Studies and an Honours in Health Sciences.
Kody has completed a Master's in Public Health from the University of Victoria with a specialization in Indigenous Peoples' Health. Currently, he is working on a PhD in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University where he is developing a culturally appropriate Indigenous tobacco strategy.
