2026 Scholarship Program
The annual 2026 Doctoral Scholarship Competition officially opens on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, and will accept applications until November 17, 2025.

Candidates may come from a range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences or other faculties and departments, but their research must be related to humanities and social sciences and to at least one of the Foundation's four themes.

2026 Fellowship Program
The nomination process for the 2026 Fellowship Program begins on September 1, 2025, and ends on November 15, 2025.

The Foundation nominates up to four (4) Fellows per year, chosen among full professors (or near the rank of full professor) at Canadian universities, for a mandate of three (3) years. Candidates must be nominated by their home universities. Direct applications are not accepted.

2026 Mentorship Program
The call for nominations for the 2026 Mentorship Program is open from September 10 to November 3, 2025. We are calling upon our network to nominate potential candidates; interested candidates may also submit their own nominations.

A complete nomination must be submitted by the nominator or the candidate themselves to the Foundation using the official nomination form.
