Margaux is an expert in philanthropic development and brand positioning. After a first graduate experience in brand strategy, she progressed to leadership positions in philanthropy at the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. In each of these positions, she demonstrated her capacity to forge and guide the implementation of agreements with corporate partners as well as high-impact philanthropic development projects. A leader who works in a very structured and analytic fashion, she is a talented communications professional, thoughtful, action- and results- oriented.
Inspired by the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation’s vision of nurturing excellence, boldness and forward-looking thought in tomorrow’s leaders, Margaux has put her expertise to work in growing philanthropic support for this mission, which is so vital to the future of our institutions and our society. A fully committed ambassador, she is constantly seeking innovative approaches to match donors’ interests and optimize their investment.
Margaux Watine holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with honours, with a major in marketing and a minor in Chinese language and culture, from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, and she studied management at the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. She has headed, given guidance to or supported several organizations in the areas of ethics, social justice and sustainable development.
