As Public Relations and Engagement Manager at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, Ashley Montgomery is actively involved in collaborating with internal teams, maintaining open communication with the Foundation’s executive team and establishing collaborative relationships with the Foundation’s community and external audiences. In collaboration with the President and Director of Communications and Digital Media, the Public Relations and Engagement Manager contributes to the development and implementation of the Foundation’s communications strategy, plan and policies.
Ashley brings a background of communications and digital engagement experience including e-newsletter and website project management as well as extensive social media knowledge. Her digital communications background has also involved managing the coordination and transition of a company rebrand at Experiences Canada (formerly SEVEC) and the management of international awareness campaigns at the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). Ashley’s experience working in the charitable non-profit sector is driven by her genuine interest in making a difference. Her experience working on programs related to the Canadian government’s relationship with Indigenous communities, human rights, and global humanitarian aid are also great assets for the Foundation.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Cultural Studies from Concordia University.
