Kevin Chan is a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholar, doing a doctorate at the Harvard of School of Public Health in Population and International Health. He is currently a pediatric emergency physician at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto, and a Fellow of the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto.
Kevin Chan was a founding member of the Student University Network for Social and International Health/Réseau Universitaire pour la Socialé et Santé Internationale, a Canadian university group that fosters social justice, aboriginal and international health. He was a founding member of the Centre for International Health and Development at the University of Ottawa and the Centre for International Health at the University of British Columbia.
Kevin Chan has served as Co-Chair of the Canadian Society for International Health and President of the International Child Health Section of the Canadian Paediatric Society. He has worked for almost two decades in Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and South Africa. He has been a consultant to WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank and the Canadian government on issues of global health and development.
