Remembering the lost lands

2011 Trudeau Fellow Ronald Rudin has developed, in collaboration with the multimedia producer Philip Lichti, a website to tell a wide range of stories inspired by the experiences of the residents who have been expropriated for the creation of the Kouchibouguac National Park. In a virtual way, the residents can now return to their lands.

2013 Molson Prize for Professor Ann Dale

On 28 May 2013, Prof. Ann Dale, 2004 Trudeau Fellow, was awarded this year's Molson Prize for the Social Sciences by the Canada Council for the Arts. She was recognized for her work in advancing sustainable communities across Canada. Prof. Dale is the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Community Development at Royal Roads University.

Award winner Fonds Société et Culture

Sylvie Bodineau, 2013 Trudeau Scholar and PhD student in anthropology at Université Laval, is the recipient of the Étudiants-chercheurs étoiles Award (month of May), a competition spearheaded by the three Fonds de recherche du Québec. Her book entitled “Figures d’enfants soldats. Puissance et vulnérabilité.” published at Presses de l’Université Laval was awarded.

14 new Trudeau scholars

The Foundation offers the best conditions to brilliant doctoral students from Canada and abroad who are researching innovative ideas that will help solve issues of importance to Canadians. The newest Trudeau scholars will receive a $60,000 grant per year for three years and join a rich interdisciplinary and intergenerational network.

2011 Trudeau Scholar Graham Reynolds has participated to a collective work with five other Canadian intellectual property scholars. “Canadian Intellectual Property Law : Cases and Materials” covers areas of IP law including copyright, patents, trade-marks, industrial designs, passing-off, and confidentiality.
