Andreae Callanan is a poet, critic, and community organizer from St. John’s, NL. Her doctoral research examines the relationship between poetry, cultural identity, and social responsibility.

Andreae is a recipient of Memorial University’s F.A. Aldrich Doctoral Fellowship. She has received numerous awards for her creative and critical writing. She is an associate editor at Riddle Fence and a contributing editor at Canadian Notes and Queries; her poetry, reviews, and essays have been published widely in Canada and internationally. She teaches creative writing at Memorial and is an enthusiastic supporter of emerging literary voices. Andreae’s poetry collection, called The Debt and based on her Master’s thesis, is forthcoming in fall 2020.
