Two members of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation were appointed members of the Order of Canada on 30 June 2017. This honour recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. Included among the 99 recipients announced by the Governor General of Canada, are:

  • Mi’sel Joe, 2009 mentor, “For his leadership in developing and enhancing the well-being and financial vitality of the Miawpukek First Nation.”
  • John H. Sims, 2012 mentor, “For his commitment to improving access to justice, and for his principled and respected leadership as a senior public servant.”
