2014 Trudeau mentor David Schindler will soon receive three awards in recognition of his pioneering work on nature conservation and biodiversity.

On 23 February 2015, he will receive the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography's Redfield Award for Lifetime Achievement at their annual meeting in Granada, Spain. 

On 28 April 2015, he will receive NatureServe's Conservation Award at their annual meeting in Traverse City, Michigan. It is given for science or policy making that contributes to Conservation of biodiversity or ecosystems. 

On 30 April 2015, he will receive the Canadian Association of University Teachers' Distinguished Academic Award at their annual meeting in Ottawa.
