2007 Trudeau mentor Ursula Franklin died on 22 July 2016 at the age of 94. Prominent University of Toronto professor and Holocaust survivor, Dr. Franklin was one of Canada's most accomplished scientists and educators, as well as a renowned feminist and peace activist. She is greatly missed by the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation community. You can read Ms. Franklin’s obituary here.

A celebration to honour Ursula Franklin's life will be held towards the end of September at Massey College in Toronto.
