The Éditions du Boréal has published L’Acadie : entre le souvenir et l’oubli, the French translation of Remembering and Forgetting in Acadie, written by 2011 Trudeau fellow Ronald Rudin. The professor of history at Concordia University documented the 2004 and 2005 commemorations of two important anniversaries, the 400th anniversary of the birth of Acadia and the 250th anniversary of the Deportation. His work is based on numerous testimonies by Acadians, members of the English-speaking community and residents of First Nations.
