2005 fellow Philippe Poullaouec-Gonidec, UNESCO Chair in Landscape and Environmental Design at the Université de Montréal, has received a gold medal Inter-American Prize for Educational Innovation, awarded by the Inter-American organization for Higher Education as part of its WAT_UNESCO project.  

WAT_UNESCO is a strategic support initiative for urban development that builds on the expertise of an international university network. This pedagogical initiative in higher education is supported by UNESCO and serves local communities in search of preservation, enhancement, and innovative development of their territories and landscapes.
