2012 Trudeau fellow Joseph Heath, a philosopher and professor at the University of Toronto, won a national award for his book Enlightenment 2.0: Restoring Sanity to Our Politics, Our Economy, and Our Lives on rationality and appeal to reason. The Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing, worth $25,000, was awarded to Heath during the Politics and the Pen gala in Ottawa on 11 March 2015.
