Grégoire Webber, '04 Trudeau scholar, was honoured with Governor General's prestigious Meritorious Service Medal this December in a ceremony in Ottawa.

Webber stood alongside colleague Owen Rees in receiving the Medal, which honoured the Supreme Court law clerks work in establishing “the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, as a resource for both novice and experienced counsel appearing before the Supreme Court of Canada. The Institute increases the effectiveness and the quality of advocacy before the Court, and ultimately improves access to justice for all Canadians.”

Webber is now Canada Research Chair in Public Law and Philosophy of Law at Queen’s Law and Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
