2013 Trudeau fellow Timothy Caulfield will be keynote speaker at the 1st World Health Summit (WHS) of the M8 Alliance to be held in North America. He will talk about popular culture and our health. Based on the theme of “Health and Healthcare Delivery in Pluralistic Societies,” this interdisciplinary event will take place in Montreal from 8 to 9 May 2017 and will focus on the question of human diversity in the practice, education, research and public policy pertaining to health.

Caulfield is Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy and a Professor in the Faculty of Law and the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. He has been the Research Director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta since 1993.
