The Foundation appoints scholars and fellows not only for their academic achievements and their commitment to evidence, but also for their desire to communicate their findings in such a way as to be useful to policymakers, civil society, the media, and the private sector. This two/three-day site visit to Ottawa will explore ways of for academics to do just that.

On 6 and 7 February 2017, sessions will include discussions with Parliament Hill research units, public servants, members of parliament, senators, and civil society organizations on how these actors find it most useful to interact with academics, and ways to help them draw on researchers’ findings.
