2012 Trudeau Scholar Kerrie Thornhill has organized and has participated to an event about the influence of propaganda campaigns throughout history on identity (gender, race, class ideologies, etc.) and the role of art and mass media as tools of persuasion.

The event was scheduled on several weeks and Thornhill's lecture, entitled "Liberia's post-war 'propagender': state primacy in campaigns against gender violence," was organized on 6 june 2013.
