2012 Trudeau fellow, philosopher and Professor at the University of Toronto Joseph Heath will give the 2015 Picard Lecture at the Health Law Institute of the University of Alberta. The lecture entitled "Ethical Issues in Physician Billing under Fee-For-Service Plans," will "suggest that physicians should expand their conception of professional responsibility, in order to recognize that their moral obligations toward patients include a commitment to honest and forthright billing practices," says Heath.
