Michel Bastarache

    For more than a decade, Mr. Bastarache served as Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada rendering rulings that spanned a spectrum of issues as well as a large number of cases related to the application of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Preceding his appointment to the Supreme Court, Mr. Bastarache served as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of New Brunswick (1995-1997), where he presided over cases in a variety of fields, including constitutional, administrative and criminal law.
